Since 1994, we’ve been lighting up Tanzania with seamless voice, SMS, internet, and mobile financial services. But we’re not stopping there. We’re on a mission to transform the way you connect, work, and live in our ever-evolving digital world. The 3G network covers all regions, and 4G LTE launched in 2015, with full coverage planned by 2017. As Yas, we now have over 2000 network sites and we aim to double its investment to improve rural coverage. With 10 million subscribers, Yas is proud to call over 300,000 Tanzanian part of our family.

Axian Telecom

Tigo Tanzania is now Yas Tanzania, an Axian Telecom company. AXIAN Telecom is a pan-African telecommunications services provider operating in nine markets through its subsidiaries in Madagascar, The Comoros, DRC, Reunion, Mayotte, Senegal, Togo, Uganda and Tanzania.

Our new brands both reflects our commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, enabling us to better serve our customers across the continent. While our previous brands were crucial to our growth and success, Yas signifies who we are today—a unified family of brands dedicated to unlocking Africa’s digital potential from East to West.

We are also rebranding our Fintech operations across Senegal, Togo and Tanzania under Mixx by Yas. Mixx by Yas is providing accessible financial solutions, ensuring everyone is fully equipped to embrace new possibilities.

You’ll notice our new Yas and Mixx by Yas brand identities through our updated logo, vibrant colors, and a refreshed design across our communications and platforms, including our website and marketing materials. This new look reflects our purpose to help everyone succeed in an increasingly digital world, emphasizing positive experiences and meaningful connections. While our visual identity is evolving, our commitment to high-quality services remains unchanged, with no alterations to our core services, pricing, or contracts.

Our rebrand to Yas, including our fintech brand Mixx by Yas, is all about helping you unlock your full potential. With an enhanced focus on service, we’re here to empower you to dream bigger, stay connected, and overcome challenges with ease. The rebrand will not affect your current products, services, or contract terms. You won’t need to replace your SIM card or equipment, and all your existing agreements, plans, and pricing will remain unchanged. Our services will continue uninterrupted, with the same quality and commitment you expect. If any adjustments become necessary, we will provide clear instructions and support for a smooth transition. For any specific questions about your contract, feel free to reach out—our team is here to help!

Our customer service contact details will remain the same, and you can continue to reach us as usual. If any changes occur in the future, we’ll keep you informed well in advance through email, SMS, and updates on our website. For now, you can contact us by phone, email, or via our website if you need assistance or have questions. We are here to help, and you may even notice improvements in our overall customer engagement experience as part of the rebrand.

Customer service will remain the same, and you can continue using the same contact numbers, including our telephone and WhatsApp lines. For assistance, reach us by phone, WhatsApp, our new website, social media, or by visiting our shops. While our email addresses have changed, old contacts will receive notifications with the new details. We’ll keep you informed of any future changes through email, SMS, and our website updates. The rebrand to Mixx by Yas will not affect your Mobile Money account. Mixx by Yas is focused on providing simple and accessible financial solutions. While Yas opens up new possibilities, Mixx by Yas offers the financial tools you need for success. Your Mobile Money account will remain active and functional, and you do not need to create a new account. Your balance and services will continue as usual, and your money is safe.

There are no changes to your Mobile Money account. You can continue making transactions without interruption, and no immediate action is needed. We recommend checking your account details periodically for updates on new services or features. You can still pay your bills, make money transfers or buy credits as before. To check your balance, dial #150# or use our Super App for easy access. Mixx by Yass services will also be available at all Mobile Money outlets, so you can continue using your usual locations for convenient transactions.

We’re excited to share that Yas will introduce new offers to help you explore and achieve your goals in innovative ways. Terms & Conditions

  • Customers should give their correct information only, by filling in and signing the device loan form.
  • Customer must pay initial deposit first before taking the mobile phone.
  • In case of failure to self-pay, Yas will deduct the daily fee amount from your Mixx by Yas account.
  • Loan Repayment
    • You will be deducted from the amount you have skipped or due direct from your Mixx by Yas.
    • If payment is not made in time, the expected repayment will be deducted from your Mix by Yas account.
    • You proceed with manual repayment through USSD Main menu *147*00# or Mix by Yas App.
  • Upon an event of default, customer agree for any one or more of the following actions to be exercised:
    • Lock the device which will prevent from using any of the device functionality.
    • Require to immediately pay the outstanding unpaid amount financed.
    • A locked device can only be unlocked by paying the outstanding via Mix by Yas app only.
  • For every repayment customer will receive his/her daily offer of MBs and if not, offer will be received.
  • The device will remain to be owned by HONORA TANZANIA PUBLIC LIMITED COMPANY unless the loan is completed.
  • You will be able to get another loan if you have completed your loan and your tenure for loan.
